Biography

Fábio Paranhos Marcelino, also known as Pinha, was a Brazilian volleyball player. Pinha started his playing career in the early 1990s and represented several domestic clubs over the next decade. In 1999 he spent one season with the Portuguese side S.C. Espinho, with the team winning the League A title. He returned to Brazil before finishing his domestic career in Argentina, finishing as a runner-up in the Argentine League A in 2006 and 2008.

In the mid-1990s Pinha was part of the Brazilian national volleyball team, winning gold at the 1995 South American Championships. In the FIVB Volleyball World League he won bronze in 1994, before winning silver a year later. In 1996 Pinha was part of the Brazilian team that finished fifth in the volleyball tournament at the Atlanta Olympics.
