From 1967 to 1977 Hana Doušová played eleven seasons for Sparta Praha in the Czechoslovak Women’s Basketball Championship, winning nine titles (1967–69, 1971–72, 1974–77) and finishing as a runner-up twice (1970, 1973). On eight occasions from 1968 to 1976 Doušová was named in the All Stars, which featured the top-five players in the Czechoslovak league. Internationally she played in 144 matches for the national team between 1968 and 1976, including at the 1976 Montréal Olympics where Czechoslovakia finished in fourth place.
At the Basketball World Cup Doušová won silver in 1971 in Brazil and bronze in 1975 in Colombia. She also had success at the European Basketball Championships, winning silver in 1974 and 1976, and bronze in 1972. In 1974 she was named as the player of the year by the Czechoslovakia Basketball Federation (ČBF) and inducted into the ČBF Hall of Fame in 2018. Hana Doušová was married to Zdeněk Douša who also represented Czechoslovakia in basketball at the Olympics.
