German volleyball player Constance Radfan, sister of Ariane Radfan, was on the squad that placed eighth at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In 1991, she won the bronze medal at the European Championships, representing re-unified Germany. In total, she won 178 international caps with both the former GDR and re-unified Germany.
At club level Radfan played with TZ Sassnitz (until 1983), SC Dynamo Berlin (1984-91), DJK Karbach (until 1991, then 1993-2002), CJD Berlin (1991-96), and TV Dingolfing (1996-98). From 1985-90 she won six consecutive national titles with Dynamo Berlin in the former GDR and the East German cup in 1989 and 1991. After re-unification, Radfan added two more national titles with Berlin in 1993 and 1994 and also won the German cup four times from 1992-95. She was also on the CJD Berlin squad that won the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1993.
