Rodolfo Giovenzana was an Italian volleyball player. Domestically he played exclusively in the First League with Panini Modena, where he won four titles (1970, 1972, 1974, 1976) under coach Federzoni.
Internationally he débuted with the national team on 16 April 1973 at Napoli in the Coppa Primavera, with a win against Greece (3-0). His last match was a defeat on 2 October 1977 at Oulu against Yugoslavia (3-0). In October 1974 he was a member of the team that competed at the World Championships in Mexico, with a 19th place finish overall. Two years later he competed at the Olympic tournament in Montréal, where he finished in eighth place. It was the first time that an Italian volleyball team (men or women) had taken part at the quadrennial Games. Giovenzana was also 10th and 8th at the European Championships in 1975 in Belgrade and 1977 in Finland respectively. He was a member of the Azzurro team for four years, during which time he represented the country on 109 occasions.
After retiring, Giovenzana turned to coaching and led women’s teams, including Polenghi Milano, Edilcuoghi Sassuolo, Vignola and Civ & Civ Modena.
