Yasuhiro Noguchi was a member of the Japanese male volleyball team that won the gold medal at the 1972 München Olympics. In 1967, he also won the gold medal at the World Championships. Domestically, Noguchi played with Matsushita Electric. He died from kidney failure in November 2023 at the age of 77.
