Jurjaan Koolen was a Dutch volleyball player who competed during the 1960s and 1970s. Koolen had a successful domestic career, winning several league and cup titles. He played in 138 matches with the national team, including nine games at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. After his playing career Koolen worked as the assistant coach for the Dutch team as well as a gymnastics teacher.
