Delia Córdova played volleyball for Peru at the 1976 Olympics. Her biggest international moments came in helping Peru win silver medals at the 1975 and 1979 Pan American Games. She also won a South American Championship. Córdova later devoted herself to teaching sport to children. She was also councilor of sports in the Torres Malaga district.
