Josef Šorm was a Czechoslovak volleyball player and coach. Šorm was part of the teams that won the silver medals at the Volleyball Men’s World Championships in 1960 and 1962. At the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, the Czechoslovak team repeated their success at the World Championships, winning another silver medal. In 1968 Šorm became the coach of the Belgian volleyball team Atlas Kortrijk. After two third-place finishes in the Super League, the team won the Belgian Cup in 1970.
