Josef Hauser was a German water polo player from SV 1899 München and was a member of the German silver medal-winning team, behind Hungary, at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He was a runner-up again with the German team at the 1938 European Championship, again behind Hungary. After World War II he was still active for his home club.
