Gan Eng Teck played water polo for Singapore at the 1954, 1958, and 1962 Asian Games, winning a gold, silver, and bronze medal. He also won seven medals at the Southeast Asian Peninsular Games, which later became the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games. Gan Eng Teck played with his younger brother Eng Joo at several Games.
