Theodor Nauman was considered the world’s best goalkeeper in water polo around 1920. He was a member of the Swedish team that won the bronze medal at the Olympics in 1920. Four years later he narrowly missed a second medal when the Swedish team was ranked fourth. Nauman was a warehouse worker in Stockholm. His son Åke Nauman took part in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, also in water polo.
