Biography

Dean “Dinko” Lukin had the following podium finishes at major championships: 1st in the 1984 Olympics Unlimited class (412.5 kg); 1st in the 1984 World Championships Unlimited class (412.5 kg); 1st in the 1982 Commonwealth Games Unlimited class; 1st in the 1986 Commonwealth Games Unlimited class. Lukin was a tuna fisherman and after his weightlifting career ended, he returned to the family fishing business.
