Biography

Austrian weightlifter Leopold Friedrich won the silver medal at the 1923 World Championships in the middleweight class behind his team-mate Karl Freiberger. Friedrich then participated as a light-heavyweight at the 1924 Paris Olympics and won the bronze medal, closely ahead of Freiberger. Friedrich won the Austrian national title in 1922-23 and 1925.
