Biography

Vinzenz Hörtnagl was an Austrian weightlifter who participated in the 1976 Montréal and 1980 Moskva (Moscow) Olympics. He competed in the heavyweight class and finished 13th in 1976 and fifth in 1980, respectively. Hörtnagl won 21 Austrian national titles. He was the first Austrian to lift 200 kg and the first to lift more than 400 kg in a duel - including the snatch and clean and jerk.
