Pierre Bouladou’s was active on the French national weightlifting scene in the immediate aftermath of World War II and gained attention for his performance after winning the junior French lightweight title in April 1945. The highlight of his career, however, came when he won the senior French national championships as a middleweight in 1948. This led to his selection to represent his country at the 1948 London Olympics, where he came in sixth place. As the highest-ranked European in the tournament, however, this effectively made him European champion for the year. The following year, he moved up to the middle-heavyweight division and again captured the French national championship. After suffering from health problems in 1950, he retired from international competition.
