Biography
East German weightlifter Michael Schubert unfortunately placed fourth in the heavyweight II class at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He lifted the same weight (425.0 kg) as his teammate Ronny Weller but his body weight was a bit higher than Weller’s. Schubert won two bronze medals in 1989, at the Athina World and European Championships.
