Biography

Gino Basso played only for the Napoli club and his first appearance with the Italian National team was in May 1935 in a match against Bulgaria, won by Italy 42-23, during the European Championships in Genève. The following year he was at the 1936 Berlin Olympics when Italy finished seventh. In the match against Germany, the Azzurri scored 58 points, its best at Berlin. Basso earned nine international caps.
