Biography
Freestyle wrestler Günter Spindler placed seventh in the light-heavyweight class at the 1972 München Olympics. His greatest international moment came in 1975, when he won the bronze medal at the European Championships. In 1973 and 1974, he was runner-up at the East German Championships, but never won a national title.
