Biography
East German freestyle wrestler Uwe Westendorf finished eighth in the welterweight class at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. The previous year he won a bronze medal at the World Championships and placed fifth at the Europeans. Westendorf won one national title in East Germany and wrestled for SG Dynamo Luckenwalde (later renamed to 1. Luckenwalder SC).
