Biography

West German Greco-Roman wrestler Peter Behr finished fifth in the featherweight class at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He never won an international medal but placed fourth at the 1988 European Championships. Domestically, he had 10 podium finishes, winning the national title five times in 1985-87, 1993, and 1995.

After the end of his wrestling career, Behl became a coach in the Hessian Wrestling Association, and at his home club RWG Mömbris-Königshofen. He also ran a fitness studio in Mömbris, and was active in local politics.
