Biography
West German freestyle wrestler Martin Herbster finished fifth at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics in the featherweight class. The same year he won his only German national title. Herbster participated in the 1983 and 1984 European Championships, placing seventh and fifth, respectively. He also competed at the 1985 Worlds but was unplaced. By profession, Herbster was a trained chemical technician.
