West German freestyle wrestler Bodo Lukowski was unplaced at both the 1984 Los Angeles and 1988 Seoul Olympics in the light-heavyweight class. He also participated in the 1981-82, and 1987 World Championships and the 1984, 1986-87 Europeans.
Lukowski won the German national titles in 1984-86, and 1989. His brother Ralf was also a nationally known successful wrestler. Bodo Lukowski later became a wrestling coach.
