Biography
Surya Saputra was an Indonesian freestyle wrestler who competed during the 1980s. Saputra participated at the 1982 Asian Games where he finished sixth in 52 kg class. With wins at several local and regional tournaments he earned himself a place on the Olympic team for the 1988 Seoul Games but lost his opening bout to be eliminated. Saputra also worked as a civil servant for the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Jakarta.
