Biography

Mohamed Khadem Khorasani was an Iranian freestyle wrestler who was active during the 1960s. In 1960 Khorasani competed in the featherweight event at the Roma Olympics, reaching the fourth round before being eliminated by Tamiji Sato. Two years after the Olympics he won silver at the 1962 World Championships in Toledo, Ohio, losing to the great Osamu Watanabe in the final. Two of Khorasani’s sons also wrestled for Iran at the Olympics, with Amir winning bronze in 1992 and 1996, and Rasoul winning bronze in 1992 before winning gold four years later in Atlanta.
