Adelmo Bulgarelli was an Italian Greco-Roman wrestler. At the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, because of the badly scheduled programme in the heavyweight division, he was forced to contest three bouts in just two hours. At the end of this exhausting schedule, he managed to win a bronze medal.
In addition to his Olympic bronze, Bulgarelli won a gold and silver at the Mediterranean Games in 1963 and 1955 (freestyle) respectively. He also won 12 national titles, one at freestyle and the remainder in the Greco-Roman style, at heavyweight in 1957-61 and light-heavyweight in 1953-55, 1962, 1964-65.
