Marziano Magnani was an Italian Greco-Roman wrestler who began competing with Club Atletico Bolognese. When Italian champion Pirazzoli was injured, Magnani was named to the 1960 Olympic team in his place, despite having no international experience. Magnani eventually won four Italian titles (1964-65, 1971, 1974). He died quite young, at only 47-years-old.
