He later focused his talents on wrestling, joining the wrestling section of Aradi Toldi AC. He was once again successful, and won multiple national titles in the heavyweight Greco-Roman wrestling in the 1930s and the Balkan championship at a tournament in Turkey in 1932.
In 1936, he was selected to Romania’s first Olympic wrestling team and competed at Berlin in the heavyweight Greco-Roman event. There, he was eliminated in the second round after losing to John Nyman of Sweden, the latter who would go on to win the silver medal. Kondorossy retired from competition the next year.
