Solothurn-native Charles Amadee Piguet was a resident of Le Brassus and the runner-up to Rudolf Höhn of Zürich in the bantamweight class at the 1928 Swiss wrestling national championships. Selected to compete at the Olympic Games for Switzerland at Amsterdam in 1928, Piguet lost in the semi-final round to Robert Hewitt of the United States. Outside of sports, he was a watchmaker by profession and resided in Lommiswil.
