Biography

Jakob Tanner was a Swiss wrestler who competed during the late 1960s and early 1970s. In 1969 Tanner finished fifth in the 62.0 kg Greco-Roman event at the European Championships in Italy. Three years later he competed as a featherweight in both the Greco-Roman and freestyle events at the 1972 München Olympics, reaching the second round in both. Tanner later finished 10th in the 68.0 kg freestyle at the 1974 Grand Prix of Germany.
