Bror Flygare was an experienced wrestler from Malmö. In 1909, he placed 8th in the 67.5 kg class at the unofficial European Championships and in 1911, he was runner-up at the Swedish Championships behind Gottfrid Svensson. At the 1912 Olympics, he wrestled in the lightweight class winning his first match by fall after 20 min against Bohemian Karel Halík, a veteran of the 1906 and 1908 Olympics. In the next match, Flygare faced the Hungarian Ödön Radvány and lost by fall after 33 min. He decided to withdraw, possibly due to an injury. In 1913, he appeared in the international arena again placing 4th in the 67.5 kg division of the unofficial World Championships.
