German sailor Peggy Hardwiger and her partner Christina Pinnow finished eighth at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Games in the two-person dinghy 470 class. The pair won the European Championships in 1989 and the Worlds in 1992. In 1990, they were runners-up at the Worlds. Hardwiger later studied sports.
