Rachel McQuillan was an Australian tennis player who played professionally from 1987 to 2003. McQuillan achieved a career-best singles ranking of #28 in the world in June 1991, and a doubles ranking of #15 in the world in June 1992. Primarily a doubles player, her career highlight was winning an Olympic bronze medal.
McQuillan won her first ITF doubles title in November 1987 at the Gold Coast with her partner Jo-Anne Faull. A month later she won her first ITF singles title, beating Kristine Kunce in Sydney. McQuillan won a total of 20 doubles and 14 singles titles on the ITF circuit. On the WTA Tour she never won a singles title but did win five doubles titles between August 1991 and October 2001.
At Grand Slams McQuillan reached the doubles quarter-finals at all four tournaments apart from the French Open. In the mixed doubles she reached the semi-finals at the French Open (1995, 1998) and at the US Open (1996), partnered each time with her compatriot David Macpherson. McQuillan competed at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, winning bronze in the doubles in 1992 with partner Nicole Provis.
