Biography

Federico De Luca from Napoli competed in the Star class at the 1936 Olympics in Kiel, where the sailing events took place, at just 22-years-old. Aboard Pegaso he paired with Riccardo, Conte de Sangro Fondi, who was the oldest Italian athlete at these Olympics. In the event clearly won by Germany, De Luca and the Count placed ninth.
