Miguel “Che” González played basketball for Spain at the 1960 Roma Olympics. With the Spanish team he won a silver medal at the 1963 Mediterranean Games. González started to play with Unión Naval de Levante, but later played for multiple clubs, including Di-Mar, also from València, Picadero Jockey de Madrid, Real Madrid, Joventut de Badalona, Aismalíbar from Barcelona, Mataró, Espanyol or Manresa, in which he closed his elite career in the 70s. He also played in France with Lorient. With the national team he earned 70 international caps.
