Dietmar Gedde, an East German sailor, competed at two Olympic Games, 1964 at Enoshima Island on Sagami Bay, and 1972 at Kiel. In both occasions he finished 13th in the Two Person Heavyweight Dinghy (Flying Dutchman), in 1964 together with Eberhard Reschwamm, and in 1972 alongside Herbert Hüttner, then representing East Germany. Gedde won six East German championships, in 1961 and 1963 with Reschwamm, in 1965 with non-Olympian Sass, and in 1968, 1970, and 1971 with Hüttner.
