Peter Jaffe was just 18-years-of-age when he competed in the 2-man Star class at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics with Colin Ratsey. The British pair collected the silver medal behind the American duo of Andrew Libano and Gilbert Gray having finished no lower than fourth in their seven races, and were the winners of race six. Jaffe came from a well-known Jewish family and later emigrated to the United States where he worked for Haskins and Sells in New York, who became part of the Deloitte Group in 1972.
