Biography

Colin Philp, Jr. was an ocean activist, sailor, and surfer who dedicated his life to ocean advocacy in Fiji and the surrounding Pacific islands. Philp spent his time working with the Suva Harbour Foundation and the Fiji Outrigger Canoeing Association, in addition to being a co-founder of the Uto Ni Yalo Trust. A natural sailor, he represented Fiji in the Finn event at the 1988 Seoul Olympics, placing 29th. Several members of his family also sailed at the Olympics, including his father Colin Philp, Sr., and his brothers Tony and David.
