Biography

In 1960 at the Roma Olympics Karl-August Stolze sailed the 5.5m yacht Bronia together with Hans Baars-Lindner and Herbert Scholl for the Unified German Olympic team. The boat finished 9th out of 19 competitors. Stolze sailed for the Lübecker Yacht-Club. In 1968 at Acapulco he just missed a medal, placing fourth alongside Rudolf Harmstorf and Harald Stein. In 1971 Stolze participated in the World Championships in a Soling class yacht, and in 1975 he won the Kieler Woche in the ¼-ton-yacht Katinka.
