Austrian sailor Franz Urlesberger participated at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. He sailed the one-person dinghy (laser) and placed 14th. He later studied law at the University of Salzburg and the London School of Economics. In 2003, Urlesberger became a member of the Austrian Bar.
As a lawyer Urlesberger focussed on all aspects of European and Austrian competition law and on multi-national competition law matters. In addition, he gained broad experience in supporting firms to implement comprehensive anti-trust compliance programs. Urlesberger was the author of numerous books and articles in his specialist field.
