Biography

Beatriz Capotosto ran the 100 hurdles at the 1984 Olympic Games. She was South American Junior Champion in 1977 and 1980-81, also winning the 100 metre and long jump in 1978 and the 200 metre hurdles in 1980-81. Capotosto won the South American Championship in 100 hurdles in 1983 and 1985. She was Argentine Champion eight times, in 1978, 1980-83, 1985, 1987, and 1989. She twice competed at the Pan American Games, finishing sixth in 1979 and seventh in 1983. She set several Argentine records, starting with 13.92 in 1980 and taking the mark to 13.45 in 1984, along with a hand-timed 13.2 in 1983.
