Pedro Elsa

Pedro Elsa was an Argentinian track and field athlete who specialised in the discus throw. Elsa won his first medal in the event at the South American Championships in Athletics in 1926 when he finished second. He returned the following year to win gold, setting a championship record in the process. He won a further two medals at the championships, both silver, in 1929 and 1933. Elsa competed at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics where he finished 18th with a best effort of 34.36 metres. He also participated in the shot put at the Los Angeles Games, finishing 14th.
