Biography

Athlete Thomas Futterknecht was the Austrian 400 metres champion in 1983-85 and 1989, and 400 metres hurdles champion from 1983-86. He qualified for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and was eliminated in the heats of the 400 hurdles. Futterknecht was also eliminated in the heats at the 1987 World Athletics Championships and retired from the sport the following year. Futterknecht later studied economics and became a freelance consultant. He supported and consulted companies concerning sales performance in high-end B2B direct sales.
