Athlete Rudolf Haidegger was Austrian champion in the 400 metres (1947), 4×100 relay (1952), 4×400 relay (1947, 1951-52), 3×1,000 relay (1948), and 400 metres hurdles (1951-53). He was selected for the 1952 Helsinki Olympics and competed in the 400 metres and 400 metres hurdles. Unfortunately Haidegger was eliminated in the preliminaries of both events.
