Rudolf Kühnel was an Austrian long-distance runner and race walker who was selected for the 1924 Paris Olympics. He participated in the 10 km race walk but was disqualified in the first heat. Although he was allowed to start in the second heat after successfully protesting, he was again disqualified and failed to reach the final. He did not start in the marathon for unknown reasons. He was twice the Austrian 10 km walking champion in 1916 and 1926.
