Marcel Alavoine was a Belgian long-distance runner who represented Union Saint-Gilloise and won five national titles during the 1920s. Alavoine won his first title in 1921 when he became the Belgian cross-country champion. He won two titles in the 10,000 metres (1923–24) and two titles in the 5,000 metres (1924–25), and was the Belgian record holder in the 10,000 metres from 1923 to 1925. Alavoine ran in the marathon at the 1924 Paris Olympics where he finished in 15th place.
