Biography

All-round track and field athlete Maurice Boulanger represented RCAS in Schaerbeek where he specialised in the decathlon. From 1932 to 1934 Boulanger won three consecutive Belgian titles in the event, along with holding the national record from 1932 to 1947. In 1936 he became the Belgian champion in the pole vault, in addition to competing in the decathlon at the Berlin Olympics, finishing 17th. Ten years after the Olympics he won his fifth and final national title, once again becoming the Belgian champion in the decathlon.
