Biography
Louis De Clerck was Belgiums top lap runner around 1960, winning the Belgian title five times in a row (1958-1962). He also represented Belgium internationally, first at the 1958 European Championships, and next at the 1960 Rome Olympics. At both events, he was eliminated in the early rounds. De Clerck also raced in the relay in Rome, but despite being anchored by the great 800 m runner, Roger Moens, the squad failed to advance out of the heats.
Personal Best: 400 – 47.7 (1963).
