Albert Harion (also commonly spelled Hanrion) of the Cercle Athlétique de Spa was active in track and field events starting in 1908, where he specialized in the high jump, winning a national title in 1919. In 1920, he was one of three athletes from Spa (alongside Léon Pottier and Max Houben) who were selected to the national athletics delegation to compete at the Olympic Games held on home soil at Antwerpen (Antwerp). There, Harion competed in the high jump, but did not advance past the qualifying round, matching his 1919 record of 1.70. He remained active in the following years, setting the Belgian record in high jump once again in 1922 with a jump of 1.72. Hanrion was also noted to be proficient in the 110 metres hurdles event. He died after a long illness in 1948, aged 57.
