Biography

Belgian athlete Gerard Steurs represented Daring Club de Bruxelles where he competed in long-distance and cross-country running races. In 1923 Steurs won silver in the 10,000 metres at the national athletics championships and finished third in the Marathon of Flanders. The following year he ran in the marathon at the 1924 Paris Olympics but did not finish the course. Four years later he again ran in the marathon at the Olympics, this time finishing 37th in Amsterdam.

Personal Best: Mar – 2-54:48 (1928).
