Biography

Belgian track and field athlete Edgard Viseur represented Union Saint-Gilloise in Bruxelles where he ran in middle-distance and cross-country races. At the 1927 Belgian athletics championships Viseur won gold in the 3,000 metres steeplechase and bronze in the 1,500 metres. The following year he won another medal at the national championships with a silver in the 1,500 metres. He ran in the 3,000 metres steeplechase at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics where he finished fifth in his heat, with only the top three advancing to the final.
